The Eagle has landed…

It has arrived and it looks fantastic. I purchased my Panasonic 47×54 from OneCall and received excellent service. So far I’ve only done the basic calibrations using my Avia Home Theater Calibration DVD. My only complaint is that SD doesn’t look that great. I guess I need to get a HDTV tuner. (Sigh… more ramen).

Google Desktop Search might just be too good. Using the new software, I was able to bypass user names and passwords that secure Web-based e-mail programs and view personal messages sent and received on public PCs.

Google Desktop

I was wondering when Google would finally release a search engine for your personal computer. This does raise some security implications as anything on your computer will be easier to find. For example, I wouldn’t want it to index my personal finance files. There’s an overview of Google Desktop on O’Reilly.
